What are we and why join us?
GDB Corp is a registered Star Citizen Organisation based in Luxembourg. Our vision is to build an organisation with a core gameplay around Trading and Mining, whereas our activitiy fields expand very well to all other activities Star Citizen has to offer.
We don’t only share time together, as a community we also share goods, ships and credits. The community fleet can be used by every member, income is shared to our members to quickly build their characters and buy desired ships and commodities.
Living in the verse can sometimes be very dangerous, therefore a community protects members and supports growing members in their missions and activities.
We speak, mainly luxembourgish and german, website and organisational written language is english, simply to avoid transcripting documents and guides (SC community is mainly english) into various different languages.
For more details on activity fields and positions, please refer to the following chart where you can find information about activity fields, ranks and positions:
What are groups?
GDB Corp has different user groups. Depending on your Star Citizen Gameplay we recommend to join groups accordingly, for example if you are a Trader you could find useful information in our Trading group.
GDB Corp Groups and Ranks
Our groups have access levels/ranks to join, you are always free to ask to join but your access rank or level will determine if you can or not. Please refer to our groups section for applications here.
More about Ranks/Levels, Positions and Jobs
We offer different opportunities for Corp positions and jobs.
A position mainly refers to an organisational and leading Corp position, every member can get by being elected or if announced by Job announcement for which they can apply. Note that every postion has a preliminary access ranking/level.
Random jobs within the different activity fields of our Corp are open to all members, to give an example, a “Technical Officer – Technical Engineer” who is responsible for Maintenance and Repair of big Mining ships, would be a job offer that could appear in our jobs section, anybody ranked as member or higher could apply, so if you find a position or a job that appeals to you, fear not and apply, we are happy to have you in our community to build and frame our organisation!
GDB Corp Ranks
Your rank is important to gain access to the different areas within our organisation.
Ranks give access to positions such as leading positions jobs, or mission specific tasks.
Ranks can be gained by sharing some time with our community, participating in events or simply contributing in a constructive way, bringing new ideas and thoughts to our organisation, which are always welcome and by all means define our global community development. Be part of it we need you!
What are badges?
Badges allow members to identify themselves. A badge defines a role, a position, a job or extraordinary merits a member has gained along his journey with us, such as for outstanding performance or loyalty aso. Badges are attributed by higher ranked members in charge of leading positions. The first badge is the MEMBER badge or MARINE badge depending on your career choice, which represents the first sign a GDB Corp member gets which also is the first two star ranking/level which gives access to a variety of positions and jobs.
Please refer to our organisational chart for more info about positions and job branches.
How many badges per member?
Generally there is only a maximum for role badges, job badges and position badges, which is always proportional to the star rank of each single member, as for example a two star member or marine is allowed to hold two badges for jobs, roles and positions, meaning a maximum of two positions which could be “Sergeant” for military and “Rp. Transport Br” for example. A three star member is allowed to hold three positions/jobs/roles aso. A member is always allowed to hold a position with a lower star rank that she/he currently has.
Why a maximum of role, job and position based badges?
All jobs and positions require a certain amount of dedication and time investment which is needed to fulfill a job or position in a sufficiently effective manner, therefore we consider specialisation in specific areas a key gameplay strategie out of a roleplay perspective, however every member can always change to what she/he desires, but considering our max. badges.
